TGIF

YAY!!! It's Friday! I was naughty today and kept Riley home from Pre-School, mainly because it was raining and I didn't feel like walking in the rain .. and partly because next week is his last week before he starts school. Once he starts school there will be no staying home for no reason, I will miss him not being around. Next week is also my last week of being a stay-at-home-mum as I go back to work. So I wanted a day to have fun and muck about with both my kids. Next week will be busy busy busy with party stuff so I took advantage of today!
Speaking of party stuff .... I have done A LOT of crafting for the party, I don't want to post the pics yet, I'll wait until after the party ... but so far I'm very happy with how everything is turning out! Very exciting!
Since I have been so busy with party stuff I haven't had a chance to do any scrapping. So this morning I sat and did the TM Challenge LO of the week ...

The challenge was to roll a dice and the number you got gave you the colour combo you had to use on your LO. I rolled a 6 which was black/grey/blue. I was NOT happy about this combo and did almost cheat and roll again but a challenge is a challenge for a reason!! So I worked it out and am really pleased with how the LO turned out! Also I got to use up more of the paper in my scrap box since it is getting rather full!!
I am motivated to do more scrapping so when the kids go to bed I'll be back in the craft room!!

I need a good time to recover and Oh boy what a great weekend I have planned!!!
Friday - Day off work to bake up a storm for Abbey's Birthday Party on Saturday. Friday night I am going to THIS with the lovely Danice I am REALLY looking forward to it, to have a night away from the house and kids and hubby and just do something for ME!!
Saturday - Abbey's Birthday Party!! I am sooooo looking forward to it, I can't believe it's been a year since she was born. She is a pure angel! Just wanted to show you how much she has grown by showing you her first and last photos!!

Finally Finished

the first one of Abbey's Birthday invites ...

Danice doesn't like the butterfly body on the outside of the card, I agree with her, it's messy and ugly, but I'm sorry Danice I can't be bothered changing it!!!! I think the reason I'm happy to leave it the way it is, is because I'm not keeping it!!! I am making a big card for all my work friends, will most likely turn out different than these smaller ones, maybe even measure up to Danice's standards!!!
In saying that I do VERY much appreciate your honestly in telling me you didn't like it! We can only learn by people telling us where we are going wrong! So please don't be afraid to tell someone the honest truth about something!!!

WARNING: Scrapping is Contagious

OK Today was a busy day. We had Paige's 6th birthday party. I had to cook something savoury to take and get the kids a sleep in and them up and dressed in their costumes for a 1pm party. Well I was late. Which is fine but them I realised I'd left the birthday present at home. Oh well you always have these days. The kids were so cute in their costumes I can't wait to scrap the pics!!! And I got ALOT! The party was at the local firestation and all the kids got to go for a drive around the block in the firetruck. Since I couldn't take photos of the kids and myself in the truck I handed the camera over to my good friend Sandra. Now let me give you a breif description of her. She's a scrapbook dabbler. Introduced to it by yours truely, but not totally all consumed or addicted like me!! But she understands my addiction because when I was off having fun in the fire truck she took these photos I guess I have trained my friends well in the art of scrapbook photography!! Not leaving out any details lol Paige got a lovely jewelery box that has all the bits and bobs to decorate it, her Mum, Sarah, said it must be about time to go round to Tracy's for some scrapping so she can help me do this box!! Haha That will be fun!! But tomorrw is serious work time!! I sanded and put two coats of paint on my clock so tomorrow I think I'll add another coat and make it glossy. I also have a bebo challenge LO to do, and I have a Fiskateers scraplift to complete so busy weekend for me!!
